Praia do Carvalho

Situated not far from Carvoeiro on the Algarve in Portugal is the isolated and wonderful beach of Praia do Carvalho. With no hotels or holiday complexes close by, Praia do Carvalho is an ideal beach for those looking to get away from the bustling beaches that are closer to the main resorts on the Algarve. There are two ways to get down to the beach, from one side it is via some steep steps that have been cut out of the rocks that surround the beach and is rather difficult and the other side through a tunnel cut through the rocks.

Praia do Carvalho

Praia do Carvalho is a small secluded beach surrounded by cliffs and is perfect for escaping from the busier beaches that are closer to the tourist resorts.

This part of the Algarve coast has some weird and wonderful rock formations like this 'window' that has been created naturally over the years from the constant erosion of the cliffs.
