Praia da Luz
The popular resort of Praia da Luz is situated towards the western end of the Algarve in Portugal. Praia da Luz has seen much development over the years to cater for the tourist industry but still boasts a superb beach which is sheltered by the cliffs to the eastern side known as the 'Black Rock'.

During the summer months Praia da Luz becomes very busy with visiting tourists but as in this photograph below, the winter months are the complete opposite with the beach almost deserted.
